Exhibition received full support from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). Construct Iraq 2024
The exhibition’s core highlights: First, government backing and strong regional influence. As northern Iraq’s only endorsed building materials exhibition, it links directly to major infrastructure (roads, bridges, airports, hospitals). Erbil’s geography serves as a hub for the Middle East’s central-northern regions. Second, Chinese enterprises are key exhibitors: 100+ firms from Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shanghai form the largest international group, showcasing steel structures, ceramic tiles, bathroom fixtures, HVAC, and photovoltaic systems. Their cost-effectiveness and climate adaptability stood out, with on-site distribution deals secured. Third, exhibits match market needs: 10 categories (building materials, hardware, machinery, smart homes, green energy).
Industry-wise, the show mirrors Iraq’s construction growth: 6.2% annual expansion amid stability and "Housing for All", with a $100B+ reconstruction market over 10 years. On-site signing rates topped 40% with Iraqi state-owned groups and local developers, covering residential and infrastructure projects. Chinese firms, with mature supply chains and Persian Gulf logistics, secured large orders in steel structures and decorative materials. The 2025 edition adds green building and digital construction zones, cementing its role as the Middle East’s core building materials hub for global firms entering Iraq and neighbors.
